I've been coming here forever! Great food, good prices, excellent staff! You'll be sorry if you don't make this your weekly weekend breakfast place!

My wife chose this place cause she likes open air terraces. I can’t believe i have never eaten here since I’m a valley native. But the food and service is great and the aforementioned open air terrace on Ventura Blvd makes my wife happy and as you already know “happy wife happy life”I had the corned beef hash with hash browns and my wife had the breakfast combo with French toast. Yummy.Parking in Bank of America next door is probably your smartest move.

We've been coming here for years whenever we are having breakfast/brunch out. Their pancakes are fluffy and huge and their bacon super crisp. They have that old-school coffee shop vibe which is terrific with booths and counters and an outdoor patio. The service is always friendly and attentive. John Wooden was a regular here for many years and we remember saying hi to him once while he sat in his usual booth. There is ample parking in the back and the restaurant validates. It is a local institution with lots of character and we prefer coming here to support a family business rather than one of the big chains.

Stopped in for breakfast after my wife's doctor's appointment and we were glad we did. It was jumping when we got there but we were greeted and seated right away. We sat inside the diner at a cozy booth, they have outside seating if you like that too. And they have two large counters as well. I had the Ham and cheese omelet with avocado, crispy hashbrowns (cooked to perfection) and sourdough toast. My wife had Chicken fried steak and scrambled eggs with home style potatoes and sourdough toast. Coffee and fresh squeezed O.J. I had an extra Peach Iced tea. It was all good. The service was excellent. Michael was very nice, he's the owners son and gave a rundown of the restaurants history and how Coach John Wooden used to come in and how they memorialized his favorite booth. Very nice guy. We wish him and him family continued success and much prosperity. The crowd is very eclectic. His parents were very friendly, his dad gave the kids quarters to get stuff out of the vending machines that they have by the entrance. His mom greets every one that comes in. The restaurant is clean. The staff excellent, friendly and very helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend VIPS FAMILY RESTAURANT. Michael told me that there is one located near me in Lake Elsinore, not affiliated, but he knows about it because he gets calls for orders from people from it by mistake and he said if I try them out to be sure to let know that he sent us. I will. They validate parking if you can't find parking on Ventura Blvd in front of the restaurant. I can't say enough good things about this place. You really have to try it for yourself. The food was delicious.

Hidden gem in the valley. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and we’ve watched each other’s families grow. Always a warm and fuzzy feeling when we come here, greeted so nicely every time…with great food to boot! The best pancakes around

Every time we want to eat a hearty breakfast in the valley, we head straight to VIP's. This place never disappoints. The three of us ordered the breakfast special with Belgian waffles, eggs and sausages, the Denver omelet with hash browns and 2 poached eggs with fruit salad. We shared and it was all yummy. This is a family run business that's been a fixture on Ventura Blvd for many years. The owner is super friendly and the service is excellent.

I had the best waffle in my life It was crispy outside and soft inside…! Everything is clean and everyone in attentive and friendly. The food was delivered fast. Other great thing is that you can park in the parking lot in the back for 90 minutes for free

We are a group of 13 and had a wonderful breakfast experience. The food was fantastic, with a variety of delicious options. We were seated on the patio, and the weather made it even more enjoyable—a perfect setting to relax and share a meal. The service was excellent, with staff ensuring we were well taken care of despite our large group. Overall, a great spot for breakfast, whether you’re in a small group or a larger party. Highly recommend!
